judy blume, i thank you for getting me through those awkward years. for explaining those things to embarrassing to ask your mum or your friends about. i had a little reminisce when i was looking for all her books. my favourite "are you there god, its me margaret" now im no religious nut, far from it actually so ignore the "god" reference and from what I can remember margaret wasn't that keen on him either, just needed a helping hand. wow im cringing at how corny that comment was! what judy blume book made you the woman you are now? and if youve never read one, pop down to the library and take a trip down "puberty lane".

cantaloupe

some people remember quotes, i remember outfits. the most memorable - the pink oscar de la renta "cantaloupe" dress carrie wore in the last season of sex and the city. call me cliche, but who didnt love the eclectic yet classic style of the show. this pink dress, with the slick patent belt just screams "nana jsar jsar". this dress made a statement, and it has stuck in my mind ever since. so i find it criminal that it is so hard to find good images of the dress. what i did find, was an array of colours that it comes in and a few stills from the show to refresh your memory. shame i dont have a ballerina/artist boyfriend, or that dress would be mine.

if only i could sew

timeless classics, structured lines, bold skirts, pretty prints, block colours, and I'm only talking about the pictures below. vintage patterns - i don't know how to sew let alone do i want to learn how to, my talents lie elsewhere. but these patterns are adorable, ripped sides and faded colours how amazing would they look as a feature wall in big bold black frames.

whats not to love about these ysl arty rings. they're inexpensive, beautiful, strange and dominating. the selection of colours makes it hard to choose one. can i buy two? the pink enamel and turquoise ones feature in my dreams! my birthdays coming up, maybe ill make it a tradition to buy myself a piece of jewelry. last year i popped into Tiffany's and unwrapped a pair of silver Tiffany bead earrings.

boxing kitten ss11

never before have i seen so many different patterns and colours work so well together, it wasn't so long a go that we were told not to wear stripes with circles, or mix red with pink. boxing kitten ignores the rules. her garments are amazing, they are what the fashion industry needs right now. don't get me wrong, I'm loving the nudes and beige tones that seem to be the trend for 2011, but boxing kitten is that pop of colour every wardrobe needs for those experimental days. and it wont even hurt the bank balance.
